HND in Civil Engineering

This program of study provides a broad education and training in the engineering industry related to the civil construction. The field of study consists of fundamental principles, theories, design and drawing, measurements, investigations, construction, management and maintenance, related to the field study mentioned above. The Department of Civil Engineering has the recourses such as laboratories for Hydraulics, testing of materials, structural engineering. The students are provided with facilities to participate surveying camps, traffic surveys, and industrial visits apart from their studies.

2. Water Engineering

Employment Opportunities
Job opportunities are widely available, as there are many construction activities in Sri Lanka as well as abroad. At present HNDE Civil Engineering Diploma holders are employed in the government and private sector establishments such as, Building department, State Engineering Corporation (SEC), National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWS & DB). Road Development Authority, Road Construction & Development Company (RC & DC).
